Mt. Washington Burmese Shaker

Here’s an unusual Mt Washington shaker pictured on page 140 in the second edition of “The World of Salt Shakers” by Lechner and is actually the shaker pictured in the book. Undeveloped Burmese: Same shape and size as the Flat End Egg. Has the appearance of a yellow-like custard glass but is really Burmese glass that has not been refired at the glory hole and therefore has no pink to yellow color shading. Gives off a striking fluorescence under black light. Found in both decorated and plain configurations. No chips, cracks or scuffs. There are a couple tiny flakes off the top from grinding which are covered by the top. There is a tiny dent on the cover. 2 3/8 tall & clean as a whistle. Was once part of the Carl Just collection.
