Small set of hallmarked silver salt and pepper cruet set or grinders. The silver is assayed with the date mark for 2003 on the pepper and 1997 on the salt. And both bare the makers mark for MC Hersey & Sons Ltd. The condition is excellent no scratches dents or splits in the silver. Minor surface marks as you’d expect from age and use. Mechanism by Peter Piper so good quality and working order. They have been cleaned and all the mechanism checked. The pepper is identified by the engraved P in the top of the finial. They stand 2 3/4 inches 7 cm tall and are 1 3/46 inches 4.5 cm wide at the base so a nice squat shape. They are in a tissue lined gift box. A lovely top quality pair to grace any table.
