Charming and cute modernist sterling silver salt and pepper shakers, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 2007. This is a lovely pair of salt and pepper shakers in the form of standing mice, finely chased / textured with cut ruby eyes. The mice are standing with their front feet in a begging position, their heads up, their feet facing forward and their tails curling around to one side. The undersides of both salt and pepper have silver screw-off caps for refilling. The mice are 1-3/8 inches / 35 mm from front to back and they stand 2-1/4 inches / 58 mm. The salt and pepper weigh 94 grams. Both the salt and pepper have clear and matching hallmarks – lion passant, 925 mark, anchor for Birmingham, letter h for 2007 and maker’s mark WW for Whitehill Silver & Plate Co. The salt and pepper are in excellent condition with no dents, damage or repair.
