Set of 4 Georgian Scottish sterling silver salt cellars, hallmarked for Edinburgh and made circa 1800. This is a lovely set of four oval navette salts made in the reign of King George III. The salts have bands of reeded around the top rim and a crest with motto and rampant lion to the front. They are 4-1/8 inches / 104 mm wide and 2-1/8 inches / 54 mm deep. They stand 2-1/4 inches / 57 mm high and weigh 262 grams. All four salts have clear Edinburgh mark and duty mark only. The salts are in good condition with no dents, damage or repair. The crests are worn. All items are well packed in brand new carton boxes and appropriate bubble wrap / tissue paper etc. Please take a look at my other items.
