DESCRIPTION : Here is an uncommon good quality Edwardian Charles Asprey & George Asprey cast silver pepperette in the form of a bear. It has a detachable head so as to fill it with pepper and holes in the head to shake out the pepper. It is very well modeled and defined features. Hallmarked to one back leg for London with a lion passant and date letter code k for 1905. There is the makers mark to the paw on the front leg CA & GA and also stamped CA & GA to the inner neck for Charles Asprey & George Asprey. Also stamped to the other side of the neck with a lion passant and a leopards head. SIZE : The bear pepperette measures 2 1/4 inches long (5.5 cm) and 1 inch high (2.5 cm). Weighs 28 g before packing. CONDITION : The bear pepperette is in excellent condition with no dents, splits, restoration or ware.
