Buenos Aires – Argentina. 1930s German Porcelain Bonzo Salt Pepper & Mustard Figure/Figural Condiment Set. I’ve never seen before this extremely rare and charming German porcelain condiment set. Depicting a Bonzo and family (the famous cartoon character created by George Studdy in 1922). This set consists in four white glazed porcelain pieces with enameled features: tray with golden outline, two small Bonzo pups intended as salt and pepper shakers and a large center mustard pot with an adult Bonzo, read stamped “48” on bottom and tray incised “Germany”. Made in Germany, circa 1930’s. Plate: 5-1/8″ (13 cm) x 3-1/2″ (9 cm). Condition: Absolutely original, with no cracks, hairlines or chips of any kind. Golden outline on tray is partially worn. Tail shaped mustard spoon and shaker corks are missing easy to replace. Otherwise, excellent overall condition. We’ve been serving Collectors and Dealers for over 38 years!
