The main body of the caster is plain with an applied band to the waist, engraved with initials P over L I. All standing on a raised foot. Hallmarked for Dublin 1715. Marks to lid & maker’s mark rubbed. This beautiful rare Irish caster is in exceptionally fine condition. Of excellent gauge, well proportioned design and a beautiful lid with pierced design surmounted with a lovely final. The overall patina is very nice. It sits true and apart from a little rubbing to the hallmarks. Width: 15.5 cm 6 inches. Weight (all in): 197 g or 6.3ozT (6.9oz). Further high quality images supplied on request.
