A very smart boxed solid silver condiment set, consisting of an open salt, a pepper, and a mustard pot, by the Birmingham silversmith David Lawrence Ltd. The salt and mustard pots both have blue glass liners. They all stand on pedestal feet. Please note the mustard spoon is a replacement, so the hallmarks do not match the rest of the set. The set is English Silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1964 (Anchor, Lion Passant, Date Letter P), The maker’s mark’D L’ refers to the silversmith. The mustard spoon was made by the Sheffield silversmith Emile Viner in 1959. Dimensions: The salt has a 5.9cm width, is c. 3.6cm tall and weighs 32.2g (excluding glass liner). The mustard pot is c. 4.5cm high (including finial) and c. 5.9cm wide (excluding handle) and weighs 59.2g (excluding glass liner). The pepper is c. 8.8cm high and weighs 40.6g. The spoons are 7.5g and weigh c4.3g each. Total silver weight (not including the blue liners) is c. Condition: The set is in good condition, with no dings, splits or repairs. The blue liners are in good condition. The mustard spoon is from a different set. Some black marks in the bowl of the salt spoon. The box is in good condition.
