Fine Antiques & Collectibles. Indian Silver Condiment Group. A group of three Indian silver condiments dating to the late 19th century. They are in the Calcutta style and feature rural buildings and scenes. The three pieces seem to largely match, however the handled example has different coloured feet and handle, possibly brass or plating. The open salt is impressed to the underside 90 with further letters below which are unclear. The set comprises an open salt, a pepper with twist cap opening to the underside and a mustard with cut out in the hinged lid for a spoon. They are quite thick sectioned and test as silver. Normal period wear and aging with patina in crevices. Some corrosion from salt (in the open salt pot). Height: 5.7 cm (2 1/4 inch) the pepper including finial Width: 4.2 cm (1 3/4 inch) the salt across body Weight: 124 grams (before packing) Stock Code: 1703 AP19-1.
