A fine Georgian sterling silver cruet set made by Robert and David Hennell and hallmarked in London 1797/8. The set consist of a silver stand which is hallmarked in two places and 8 glass bottles, 6 of which have silver tops and 2 of which have spoons attached. The oval stand sits firmly on 4. Feet and has never been engraved. Six of the bottles are original and two smaller ones replacements though of very similar design. The major part of this set is in very good condition with no repairs or damage to silver or glass. The stand and 3 of the bottles are clearly hallmarked for Hennell, 2 are entirely glass with no silver and of the remaining 3 one is hallmarked with makers initials SW and 2 are rubbed. There are 2 silver spoons one of which is clearly hallmarked. There is a small amount of damage to the necks of 2 smaller bottles but both are covered by silver collars and therefore not visible. There is no damage to silver or glass of the 4 largest bottles or the stand itself.
