On offer today is a quite exquisite hallmarked silver pair of wondrous salts from the early 20th Century George V period. They are copies of Georgian examples. They are hallmarked to base rim and date to 1926 and from London. Maker’s mark is for top quality maker Thomas of New Bond Street. For reference of scale each salt pot is large at 1.875 inches in height and 3.75 inches wide. They are 2.75 inches deep. Hallmarks are deep and clear. They are of highly attractive neo classical form and sit on an oblong base. They are in fine order. The actual silver weight is a very good 232 grams (7.46 troy ounces) on this special set and each piece is made of thick gauge silver throughout. The overall condition is excellent on this splendid antique set of objects. Would make a lovely present and is offered with no reserve! Each is engraved with a lovely crest and always have been, definitely no erasures either.
