A handsome Georgian solid silver Pepper Shaker. It stands 5 or 12.5cm tall. Weight is 69 grams. Of bulbous form on a raised circular Base. Detachable pierced Top with distinctive finial. Fully hallmarked for London, 1771 – the hallmarks are inside the Base in the earlier Georgian manner. Top has corresponding marks. The Maker’s Mark is’TD/ID’ contained within a cruciform frame. Condition is good and appearance is smart. There is bruising around the body. The shaker stands straight and true. A fine piece of English Georgian silverware.
